Our Mission
Our mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia in shelters due to time constraints, medical conditions, injuries, or behavioral challenges. We are committed to giving these animals a second chance through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming. Beyond rescue, we strive to educate the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, promote the importance of spaying and neutering, and advocate for responsible pet ownership to create a more compassionate future for all animals. Bark Back Benefit Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 92-0791410), and all support goes directly toward helping animals in need.
Our Festival
The Bark Back Festival started in 2014 as a heartfelt tribute born from loss and love. After the tragic passing of two beloved family pets, Etta and Nesta, a group of longtime friends came together with a shared vision: to create something beautiful that would honor their memories and celebrate the special bond between humans and animals. What began as a small idea quickly grew into an annual festival dedicated to helping animals in need, with all proceeds benefiting Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Barky Pines Animal Rescue & Sanctuary & more!. Bark Back is more than just a festival—it’s a celebration of the wonderful pets we've been lucky to love in our lifetime.
